Time to get WILD! Finland is an intriguing culinary destination, and we boast world-class expertise here. Particularly, Bocuse d'Or – the most prestigious culinary competition in the world – leads us towards global gastronomic recognition. That's why WILD was born.

WILD is a deep dive into Finnish culinary culture, led by the forefront of Bocuse d'Or. It is a Coffee Table-style publication with the goal of increasing awareness of the Bocuse d'Or competition, enhancing the interest of food travelers in Finland, and thereby supporting the entire Finnish foodservice industry and the success of the Finnish Bocuse d'Or team towards the podium in the Bocuse d'Or final in Lyon 2025.

The international Bocuse d'Or competition organization has specified Skrei cod, scallops, and reindeer as the main ingredients for the competition dishes in the 2024 Trondheim European Championship.

Chasing a podium position in the 2024-2025 competition season, Finland's Bocuse d’Or representative is Ismo Sipeläinen, assisted by Kaisa Laanemäe and coached by Kristian Vuojärvi. The team leader is Sasu Laukkonen.

Qualification Competition on September 26, 2023, at Kespro Fair

  • The new Finnish Bocuse d'Or representation team will be selected in the qualification competition at Kespro's trade fair in Helsinki on September 26, 2023.

  • The representatives for Finland for the 2024-2045 season are Ismo Sipeläinen as the representative, Kaisa Laanemäe as the assistant, and Kristian Vuojärvi as the coach.

The European Championship in Trondheim on March 19-20, 2024

  • The Finnish Bocuse d'Or representation team is intensively training at Haaga-Helia's training kitchen throughout the early year, supported by the Bocuse d'Or partner network, in preparation for the European Championship qualification on March 19-20, 2024. The team will compete in Trondheim to secure a spot in the final in Lyon.

  • The Finnish team will compete with the number 8 on the second competition day, which is on March 20.
